      <description>Sorry the real file is /etc/issue.net, also you can use the /etc/profile, bash_profile or bashrc.</description>

      <description>To set a telnet session's options, you need your telnet client to be able to manipulate them!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Those options are usually for the client capabilities.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;That being said, you list 'terminal-speed'.  What exactally are you trying to do?  Normally, the terminal's speed is set via the baud rate the tty can work at, but psudeo tty's are usually a bit different (as the only limitation on them is network speed).</description>

      <description>U can use the following escape characters in ur issue or issue.net files&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;\d  insert current day (localtime),&lt;BR /&gt;\l  insert line on which mingetty is running,&lt;BR /&gt;\m  inserts machine architecture (uname -m),&lt;BR /&gt;\n  inserts machine's network node hostname (uname -n),&lt;BR /&gt;\o  inserts domain name,&lt;BR /&gt;\r  inserts operating system release (uname -r),&lt;BR /&gt;\t  insert current time (localtime),&lt;BR /&gt;\s  inserts operating system name,&lt;BR /&gt;\u  resp.  \U the current number of users which are currently logged in.&lt;BR /&gt;\U inserts "n users", where as \u only inserts "n".&lt;BR /&gt;\v  inserts operating system version (uname -v).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;see the man pages of mingetty</description>
