--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi,
i have a problem with a ProLiant Ml110 and an Adaptec 2610SA Controller. The OS was SCO 5.0.7 (fresh installation). After booting the CD I loadet the driver aaraid with "defbootstr link=aacraid". After the driver was installed from the floppy the new Hardware List appears - but there was allways the error message: no boot controller. Have I make a mistake? The Controller ist a array with 236 Volume.
Sorry - my english is very bad, but I hope, you unterstand my problem
*shakes head* sorry, I've never tried using OSR with a SATA device. It should work, but *shrug*.

I suggest you either talk to Adaptec support, or to some guy's who have more OSR experience (news groups, comp.unix.sco.misc).

Yes ok. One little question. The Controller was found on PCI BUS 2, DEV 3, FUNC 0. Can I give some parameters with the defbootstr? Adaptec do not give any answer, because the Controller was a OEM.
But thank you for trying.

Well, if it's not a 21610, then I doubt that driver will work (given that HP offer no SCO driver, nor do adaptec), so..

Combine that with the inability to find an OSR driver for a '2610SA' on the 'net at all, the outlook is grim.

The server might be, but that controller isn't.

Incidentally, the ML110 isn't SCO (either OpenServer or Unixware) certified:

http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/sco/index-all.html

I bought a Poweredge 830 server in Nov.2005. It is also using a Adaptec 2610sa raid control card with 2 maxtor 160GB hard disk. I want to install SCO Open Server 5.0.5. I asked Dell technical support for driver. They gave me AD2810sa for SCO Open Server 5.0.7 driver instead. I'm very lucky. It works. I tried to disconnect one of those hard disk. The server kept making a very loud alarm, but the systerm was still working. Here is the string I'm using "defbootstr link=aacraid" while installing. Here is the link to download a floppy image of the driver. http://download.adaptec.com/raid/aac/aacraid_drv_openserv_506-507_b7370.tar.gz
