    <description>Chris,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I think you need to add a third party product to your server to allow for this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Assuming there has not been disk activity you should be able to recover the file data with dd commands. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If there has been significant disk activity on the filesystem involved, you are probably out of luck.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have Debian Sarge installed on ext3&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;by mistake I've deleted some important files &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;how I know, ext3 data structures do not support any method of undeleting &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;do I have any chances to get back these files ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;which linux system should have possibility of undeleting ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'd like to setup a new Debian Server using a system &lt;BR /&gt;with the possibility of undeleting.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kind regards&lt;BR /&gt;chris&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I've deleted only TEXT files&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I've heard there is a possibility using grep, but knows someone how it works ?</description>

      <description>some months ago I was able to recover some deleted files from an ext3 filesystem using Midnight Commander (mc). It is installed by default by most distributions.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;mc has an item in the 'Command' menu called 'Undelete files (ext2fs only)'. It works on ext3, too.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I think it could help you.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ciao&lt;BR /&gt;Claudio&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
