    <description>I assume you're booting with grub...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;First you need to remove grub and replace it with the Windows XP MBR.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Boot off your XP CDROM and into the recovery console, then use the fixmbr command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After a reboot you should not get grub and just the the XP boot menu.  Then in Windows you can reformat the linux partition as windows.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you want to use the Linux diskspace in your C: drive for example you will need to use partition magic to resize.</description>

      <description>Use the Windows XP disk manager to format the disk or partition that Linux is on.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You need to however be careful you are not using grub as your boot manager. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can use fdisk after the fact and change the system back over to windows.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Alternatively, just rm -r / on the Linux and you will have a quite useless Linux partition without bothering grub.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Or, do a Linux install into the Linux parition to simply wipe out all the paritions in there.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
