Which distributions of Linux are you using (versions are important) and where did you source the 'cpqarray' driver from?

Hello,
Has anyone issued this problem so far :
I can boot and begin the installation of any Linux distribution via bootable CD with the native NCR53Cxxx SCSI controler.
At the time that I insert a Smart Array 2SL card (with configured disks) the Linux install program hangs immediatly after the boot method prompt (vmlinuz and initrd loads, and then nothing happens anymore).
thanks for your help

I tried Debian Sarge, Redhat 9, Scientific Linux and Fedora.
The driver doesn't matter, because the freezing behave before the loading of drivers. As I said, the system hangs just after the boot methode screen (where you choose boot options, like "linux text").
The only way to make the system to boot is with floppy disks (which succeeds for Debian and RedHat, but I am not able to use the CDROM drive with RedHAt then, BUT I CAN WITH DEBIAN (so there is no hardware failure).
Unfortunately, I want to use Fedora, and no floppy disk install option is proposed...
