With AS 3.0 there are several config utilities under /usr/bin called redhat-config-xxxxxx.

With AS 4.0 they are called system-config-xxxx.

Look in /proc/scsi/xxxxx

Your host adapter type can be either qlaxxxx for QLogic adapters or lpfc for Emulex adapters.

cat out the files
Hi,
I am new to linux. Just installed AS 3.0. I am looking for comparable utilities in linux for sam, ioscan, lanscan, tdutil, etc. I have FC cards in the machine and need to install/configure them. Don't know how to detect them and see their WWNs.

Can anyone help.

Thanks

There is not much correlation between the HP tools and Linux tools. You can get somewhat close.

Example, there is no SAM or similar interface in RH. But you do have a hosts of options to the RedHat menu you see on the screen. This will allow you to do printers, networking, display, peripherals, etc...

For ioscan, I use 'lshw' (Hardware Lister). This has an option to produce the output in similar format as iooscan.

For lanscan, use ifconfig, eth-tool, and miitool.

Also check out the /proc directory. Will have lots of info in there.

Most configuration tools under red hat are called system-config-something.

Use these tools to configure the system.

I think that you can install the fibreutils program to manage FCs.
