Skype do not work in dual boot machine

Hi,
I am using dual boot machine (WinXP and Debian Sarge)
On Windows I can use Skype, but when I turn to Debian I cannot.
I did not install any firewall on Linux Debian and I am wondering what is wrong.
When I use nmap command I can see open ports but I do not know which ports should be open to enable Skype works.
So I am asking if anybody know solution for this please write it down.
How I can open ports on (my) linux machine as root?
