Hallo everyone,

I hope anyone can help me

I have a really strange problem when I tries to nfs mount a VxVM volume with vxfs filesystem in SLES9sp2, the I get the following error message.

nfs_get_root: getattr error = 116
nfs_read_super: get root inode failed

It is works when i use lvcreate and vxfs filesystem.

I'd report the error to HP.
Sounds like a bug.

There may be a patch though. What is the level of VXVM patching on the system?

Don't export the root / filesystem, that might cause problems.

I have added all patches that is recomended by Veritas for installation of Storage Foundation, (even the kernel patch that are needed Storagefoundation4.1 for SLES9sp2)
