    <description>Hi all, I am running sybase on linux and am trying to do a load. Its keeps telling me that database is in use. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do I need to bring the database offline to do the load, or what do I need to do to be able to load the data into the database. Thnaks and points will be assigned.</description>

      <description>Shalom Sanjit,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Why don't you try bringing down the database and doing the load.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If it still doesn't work, there is something wrong with the database or the system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If it DOES work, then you have evidence to support the idea that you must bring it down for a load.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may be able to change the database status/mode and do the load.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I don't know enough about sybase to help with that.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
