      <description>Shalom Louis,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is usually a problem with being off the support matrix. If every component is on the matrix than you probably have a driver issue or perhaps its not installed correctly.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Seems that all the hardware is compatible, so you may have a lack of scsi termination or a bad scsi card or cable. Cables are cheap, so I'd try replacing that first.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>It seems that there is no hardware problem, because:&lt;BR /&gt;- the DAT works well when it is attached to an other server with Unixware&lt;BR /&gt;- with an other model of DAT, it works well on the Linux server (so the SCSI card and the cable seem good).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I assume you're running the latest eratta kernels on that RHEL3 box?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I take it you're swapping the external-drive without power-cycling the machine?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How are you getting the machine to re-read the SCSI bus?</description>
