    <description>Hi Thomas&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SSH comes preinstalled with RHAS 4.0:&lt;BR /&gt;To start the services do:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;service sshd start&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;to check if service started do:&lt;BR /&gt;service sshd status&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You wont be able to ssh to this box using root as root over ssh is denied by default.&lt;BR /&gt;To enable root logins edit&lt;BR /&gt;vi /etc/sshd/sshd_config and &lt;BR /&gt;permit_root_login YES&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers&lt;BR /&gt;Vipul&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
