Hi All,
Sorry for the boring question - But I am a newbie to this stuff.
Just got myself a copy of the SUSE 8.0 PRO Linux O/S.

I have copied the MODULES1 & 2 via the raw-written exe. I can boot from the startup floppies (Modules 1 & 2 and manual install). Add me highpoint 370x Raid driver. Now when showing the partition details it show the 2 x 40 gig disks as (mmm dont have this info at the mo - but its somthing like....)

total - 75 gig - both 40 gig disks.
It then shows my windows partitions...
9.7GB WINDOWS C (Primary Partition)
total - 65 gig - extended ( as per the below)
4.5 WIN Ext. D
4.5 WIN Ext. E
9.7 WIN Ext. F
9.7 WIN Ext. G
9.7 WIN Ext. H
25.5 WIN Ext. I

etc...
I have been able to delete the 'f' and recreate the RIESER / and the swap on the 'f' from area's 2551-3584 and 3585-3858 - so basically replacing the 'f' windows partiontion as a LINUX partition.

But as soon I as confirm the settings its trying to shrink the 9.7 Win Primary C to something like 6.5 gig

Any ideas why? Have I missed something. Being a noobie - this is all abit confusing....

Is it something do to with the Lunix needing a PRIMARY DOS area or not using a cylinder area of greater that 1024 or something like that...

Any help... training...suggestions....easy peasy understanding of this dodgy looking Linux system would greatly be appreciated. I just hope all the above makes sence.

Cheer All.....

Kenny
