Do you know where is connected your cdrom drive?

Primary master: /dev/hda
Primary slave: /dev/hdb
Secondary master: /dev/hdc
Secondary slave: /dev/hdd

Try running the following commands:

mkdir -p /media/cdrom
mount /dev/hd<X> /media/cdrom

Where <X> depends of where is connected as described above. Ensure that you have a good "data" cd media in the cd-rom.</X></X>
