I suggest do not lock the account after the password expires. This means that if <USER> logs in after the password expires, he will be propmted for a new password at login.

passwd -i-1 <USER>

Regards</USER></USER>

Hi Nash,

#passwd -i-1 <USER>

The -i option is used to disable an account after the password has been expired for a number of days. After a user account has had an expired password for inact days, the user may no longer sign on to the account.

Regards,
Asif Sharif</USER>
