    <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I try to start all hp linux management services on a proliant G4P with FC5.&lt;BR /&gt;No big problem with this rpm from RHEL4 :&lt;BR /&gt;hpasm, hprsm, hpsmh and cmanic&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But still can't get working hpvca.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When i try to launch hpvca normally :&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/init.d/hpvca start&lt;BR /&gt;HP Version Control Agent :/bin/bash: error while loading shared libraries: libdl.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory&lt;BR /&gt;Or this file exist :&lt;BR /&gt;[root@srv78supervision ~]# locate libdl.so.2&lt;BR /&gt;/lib/libdl.so.2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then i try to comment #export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL="2.4.1"&lt;BR /&gt;in the start script :&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/init.d/hpvca start&lt;BR /&gt;HP Version Control Agent :/opt/hp/vcagent/bin/vcagentd: relocation error: /opt/hp/vcagent/bin/vcagentd: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[root@srv78supervision ~]# objdump -T /opt/hp/vcagent/bin/vcagentd | grep errno&lt;BR /&gt;08180e30 g    DO .bss   00000004  GLIBC_2.0   errno&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[root@srv78supervision ~]# objdump -T /lib/libc.so.6 | grep errno&lt;BR /&gt;00000008 g    D  .tbss  00000004  GLIBC_PRIVATE errno&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It seems that PRIVATE show that it is impossible to start correctly but i'm not a good programmer ;-)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Someone have an idea ? a workaround ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thx for your help&lt;BR /&gt;Sorry for my poor English</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Your english is fine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Your choice of HP software, perhaps not so fine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The LD_ASSUME_KERNEL settting makes clear to me that this driver is not certified for the 2.6 kernel, at least the one that comes with Fedora Core 5.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I belive this configuration is simply unsupported.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Ok !&lt;BR /&gt;My procurve IOS is buggy and now it is my hp management software that is not very transportable.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HP should give their developpers much money  for having good procurve IOS and good linux drivers and softwares.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm angry !!!</description>

      <description>I am not pleased either.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Fedora is not supported.&lt;BR /&gt;A possible work around - use CentOS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This distro is the REdHat ES Operating System except all references to RH have been removed. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Still unsupported but you may have better luck&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
