      <description>You must configure SAMBA + PAM files to authenticate using Windows DC. Some linux distro have a tool to do this, for example, red hat and clones have the authconfig command.</description>

Modify a group object to function as a POSIX group.&lt;BR /&gt;b.) Right-click on the user group for assignment of a GID.&lt;BR /&gt;c.) Click on the Unix Attributes tab.&lt;BR /&gt;d.) Populate the NIS Domain dropdown and the GID number as appropriate.</description>

      <description>Yes, it can also authenticate the users via telnet and even other services like squid proxy and sendmail using winbind.</description>
