Hi,

My redhat server (RHEL ES 4 Update 2) on HP IA64 platform, is hung. I see the following on the console.

Please suggest/help me to root cause the issue.

Shalom,

In hpux-speak this is a high priority machine check.

Something huge like a CPU or system board has failed.

Contact HP hardware and have the system diagnosed and the part replaced.

more like a kernel bug in vm code triggered by javac.

do you have an iLo/mp installed in this unit? If so, you can look in the system logs for any incidents of alert level 3 or higher. In text mode, the system log is fairly descriptive.

I would recommend updating to rhel4u3 at earliest opportunity.
