I'm running a Proliant DL320 with Windows XP Pro. The computers communicate fine until I type the vi command into hyperterminal and send it to the linux box. Then the serial port stops responding. I tested this theory on 5 different DL320s and got the exact same result. I tried a Toshiba laptop and it continued working fine. I need help finding the solution to this problem.
