    <description>do not have the original dl 380 disc. Which versions of red hat are certified for the 380. I cannot find the docs on HP's web?</description>

      <title>Trouble Loading Red hat 7 on dl 380</title>

      <description>I am trying to load RH7 on a dl380 and i recieve a message that says "no valid hardware found to create filsystem on" During  post it recognizes the drives and can see their volume, i ran through the steps to create a logical drive and all. but I still recieve this message. Any ideas? Still very new to linux.</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Use the DL380 CD to boot and prepare disk. Then install RedHat. It should work at that point.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If not, try a version of Red Hat that is certified for the server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>It will also depend upon which DL380 you're installing on. RH 7 may not have drivers for the RAID 5i adapter (G3), 6i (G4) and whatever RAID adapter the G5's are running.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Here is the link for drivers if you have a DL380 G3: &lt;A href="http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/family/model/4706.html?submit.y=0&amp;amp;submit.x=0" target="_blank"&gt;http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/family/model/4706.html?submit.y=0&amp;amp;submit.x=0&lt;/A&gt;〈=en&amp;amp;cc=us&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you don' have a G3, just type in the model on search field (Dl380 G4 for instance), to find all supported OS's.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please award points if we have been of assistance.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Alan</description>

      <description>First at all, I suggest you to start with RHEL 4 (or CentOS 4) instead of unsupported RH Linux 7.&lt;BR /&gt;Second - I almost sure that RHL 7 doesn't support disk controller and NIC of DL380 G3/G4.</description>
