    <description>I have a linux box running AS 3, but no LVM. only fdisk. usaing this how can i find out the following.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. Is there any storage attached to the machine.       <description>1. If you run "fdisk -l" without any arguments, you will see the list of disks and partitions if any.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2. This should be identified by matching the used partitions with file systems or swap area. If you don't see any partitions on the disk, then the disk is unused.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Basically, to identify used and free space for a system you should consider the output of:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;fdisk -l&lt;BR /&gt;df&lt;BR /&gt;swapon -s&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
