    <description>Thx very much SEP i really ipreciate your quik answer&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have set a jumper in orther to change the scsi id but still not detecting do you think i need an HBA ? if yes is there any configuration that has to be done before the tape can be detected ?&lt;BR /&gt;Or do you have an idear of other solutions ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please i really need this to work.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;THX Once again.&lt;BR /&gt;Nadmo</description>

      <description>Hi &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i have a dl380 G4 WITH REDHAT 3 8U INSTALL &lt;BR /&gt;WITH A dat 72 scsi tape but it deosn't dectest the tape after the installation but note that the tape is slot at the same place where the disk are on the same controller.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can anyone help ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How can i check if the tape drive is working  or detected ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BR.&lt;BR /&gt;Nadmo&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Probably a scsi id conflict between the disk and tape drive.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For normal performance, you must connect the tape drive to its own scsi controller.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Hi SEP,&lt;BR /&gt;I made it!!!! is working now and following is what i did.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#modprobe st&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;check whether there is error message if no then is good&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#echo "engage scsi" &amp;gt; /proc/driver/cciss0&lt;BR /&gt;#echo "rescan" &amp;gt; /proc/driver/cciss/cciss0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#dmesg&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and  finaly add the to path to /etc/rc.local so that it will be executed everytime the system start .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank for support also.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BR.&lt;BR /&gt;Nadine&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
