      <title>FTP Problem</title>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In one of the newly installed Redhat linux 7.2 system, we have a problem with ftp.&lt;BR /&gt;When we ftp to that system and give the username &amp;amp; password, it says,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  "530 Login incorrect.&lt;BR /&gt;   Login failed."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-eventhough as the username and password is correct.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please help me is solving this issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks &amp;amp; Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Shyam&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;OK , have a look at this file ftpusers under&lt;BR /&gt;/etc have you put that user in ftp blacklist.&lt;BR /&gt;Also check /etc/hosts.allow that any restriction is put on your host.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards,&lt;BR /&gt;U.SivaKumar</description>

      <description>Hi shyam,&lt;BR /&gt;Check the login shell for that user having ftp problem in /etc/passwd . for eg /bin/bash .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now check whether the same shell entry is in /etc/shells . for eg: /bin/bash&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If not , add the user's shell in /etc/shells.&lt;BR /&gt;hope your problem is solved.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards,&lt;BR /&gt;U.SivaKumar</description>

      <description>hi shyam,&lt;BR /&gt;Also check these things.&lt;BR /&gt;edit /etc/ftpaccess , comment lines starting with deny-uid deny-gid .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Put this line ( only one such line ) in that file.&lt;BR /&gt;class all real,guest,anonymous *&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try the ftp again. Remember that you will not&lt;BR /&gt;be able to login to ftp as root due to security&lt;BR /&gt;reason. Still if you want it, then remove entry root from /etc/ftpusers&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards,&lt;BR /&gt;U.SivaKumar</description>
