Shalom,

Thi is clearly an HP-UX question not getting answered because you postd to a less read forum.

HP-UX CIFS comes with a script that tries to join and ADS domain.

A few things need to be ready.

You may need a machine account on the ADS domain.

The script should be in /opt/samba/bin

SEP

hi
We had to upgrade Ciffs recently from version A.01.09.04 to A.02.03. and have problems connecting to a domain.
We previously used "smbpasswd -j <SOMEDOMAIN>" and it would connect to the domain with no need for username or passwords. We see we now have to use "net ads join" but we cant seem to connect without using a username and password which we havn't got. can anyone help with this? the syntax we are using is "net ads join -w <SOMEDOMAIN>"</SOMEDOMAIN></SOMEDOMAIN>
