What does 'lspci -v' say? Are the agpgart and drm modules being loaded? dmesg | more shows you the drivers loaded at boot time, but modular drivers can be seen by doing an 'lsmod'.

As your video chipset is an "VIA S3 Unichrome", please select the module "via" instead of "vesa" or "nv". This module is to be selected
as the video driver while configuring X or by hand inside /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

Do a modprobe for "via-agp" and "drm" too, kill all instances of X and re-start.

The choice of nvidia display driver is inappropriate for your VGA adapter.
