    <description>There is DL580 server on which Linux Ent 4 OS is installed as when I use to login from the text mode, it is not loging me as root but when i login from gui mode (graphically) i use to login from root.&lt;BR /&gt;As from /var/log/messeges I got following error that is as follows:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;gpm[3378]: *** info [mice.c(1766)]&lt;BR /&gt;gpm[3378]: imps2: Auto detect intellimouse PS/2&lt;BR /&gt;login(pam_unix)[992]: session opened for user root by login (uid=0)&lt;BR /&gt;login[992]:module is unknown&lt;BR /&gt;init: open (/dev/pts/0): No such file or directory&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kindly help me out in this regards so that i can login from text mode as root .....thankyou&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;WAiting for your reply</description>

      <description>Found the following on the internet:&lt;BR /&gt;"It's a weird race between init and rhgb.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Running 'change_console -r' should fix it."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Let us know if it helped.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
