      <description>Hi Ryadh,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To change the partition size on /dev/sda, you can use either "fdisk" or "parted".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But remember you have to boot into Single User OR Maintenance mode. For that at the grub prompt, press "e" , then move your prompt to the line ---&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-8smp ro root=LABEL=/&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;then again press "e", and then at the end, add "S" and then press Enter and then press "b" to boot into single user mode.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You will then get the maintenance prompt and from here you can proceed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now changing partition size is a destructive method. So, make sure you have a proper backup of your partitions.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;====================================&lt;BR /&gt;fdisk /dev/sda&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and then you can type "m" to get help.&lt;BR /&gt;====================================&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;====================================&lt;BR /&gt;parted /dev/sda&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;type "help".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is a simple to use tool &lt;BR /&gt;====================================&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So enjoy partitioning......&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ATUL</description>
