Serial console, no login

Hi,

I could see some strange things happening in one of the linux on rx2660, console is connected to mp serial cable.

while installing I gave 'linux console=ttyS0', and also each time I boot I give this.
But before login session starts it hungs/staps, no login screen, accessible from different ssh only.
Entries in inittab file are fine. Do I need to modify anymore things while console is connected to serial Please let me know.

check if /sbin/mingetty ttyS0 is running

Hi,

No Its not running when I try to run that
its hung and forcefully I killed that.

even I tried to add
"co:2345:respawn:/sbin/agetty -h -t 60 ttyS0 9600 vt100"

its running but no login..

tried to run /sbin/mingetty ttyS0, i could see this on console:

rs_close: bad serial port count; tty->count is 1, state->count is 2
