    <description>if you go for RH9, you're asking for problems.&lt;BR /&gt;use a more recent release (fedora) or version with longer support cycle, like centos.</description>

      <description>Dear all,&lt;BR /&gt;my client want one setup in linux as follows &lt;BR /&gt;they want to install a linux server (redhat 9.0), need to configure broadband internet connection in that server ,configure it as a squid server (linux proxy),with user level access control in that server and broad band usage report from that server,it is through web interface&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards&lt;BR /&gt;Baiju Kumar.B</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would suggest a supported release of Red Hat.  ES 4.4 or CentOS 4.4&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The default squid implementation gives you much of what you desire.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>You should use CentOs as menthioned above or Fedora Core, these are "recent versions" of Red Hat (in some way).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Squid basic functionality you get by default, user authentication is done by configuring:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;auth_param negotiate program .....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Search in google because there are a lot of options to configure user authentication (PAM, LDAP, Active Directory).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Reports you can get using sarg or srg (Squid report generator) available at sourceforge.net.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Squid administration can be done via webmin.</description>
