    <description>Praveen,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;to find out which Java you are using&lt;BR /&gt;java -version&lt;BR /&gt;java -fullversion&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;in the top few lines, it will show you somwhere on the line IBM.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have Sun java (used for oracle apps)&lt;BR /&gt;here is the output&lt;BR /&gt;jdk/bin/java -version&lt;BR /&gt;java version "1.5.0_11"&lt;BR /&gt;Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_11-b03)&lt;BR /&gt;Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.5.0_11-b03, mixed mode)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;using tzupdater (this will clearly show you the vendor)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/u01/app/oracle/product/10.1.3/OracleAS_2/jdk/bin/java -jar tzupdater.jar -t -v&lt;BR /&gt;java.home: /u01/app/oracle/product/10.1.3/OracleAS_2/jdk/jre&lt;BR /&gt;java.vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc.&lt;BR /&gt;java.version: 1.5.0_11&lt;BR /&gt;JRE time zone data version: tzdata2007a&lt;BR /&gt;Embedded time zone data version: tzdata2007a&lt;BR /&gt;Validating the time zone data&lt;BR /&gt;Validation complete&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;I have updated the DST Patch for the OS Level on red hat linux boxes.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I need to update this patch for java.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How can I find which java is running on the system,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have two installation file (IBM java &amp;amp; Sun Java)&lt;BR /&gt;which one should I install?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;please suggest&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You need to patch each java separately.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;IBM and Sun Java are two different binaries and if they need a patch, you need to get it from the vendor and install it for each set of binaries.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP&lt;BR /&gt;In USA, not violating the sabbath.&lt;BR /&gt;:-)</description>
