    <description>Umm, Ted.. If you look a bit closer, you'll notice he says "OS 10.20", and "lisence to 32 users".  He's talking about HP-UX, not Linux.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Posted in the wrong forum unfortunately.</description>

      <description>take a look at the man page for sysctl&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the tunable parameters are under /proc/sys... for nfile it is actually file-max&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you will need to add an entry to the /etc/sysctl.conf file.  Man page on sysctl.conf to get the format.
