Repository Creation

I want to create A Reposiroty for all softwares and packges that will be diployed over the network on all the unix Machines i.e. Linux/redhat Serevrs . Can anyone please let me know how can i do that?

yum is a good way to do it.

Simple

Uses the now deprecated yum-arch method.

How oracle would do it.

More modern methodology with Fedora:

There is nothing except the license agreement stopping you from doing this with Red Hat. My company is licensed and I've created patch repos for RH 3 and 4.

Obviously violating your redhat license is easy with these bookmarks. Don't do it. Properly license your systems and this technology will make your updates easier. You can add any rpms you want, even home grown ones to these repositories.

Thanx for ur reply but my question is i want to deploy through VCRM (Version Control Repository Manager) The Problem with it is am not able to get the exact Tar files for my CMS server which is on the Redhat Linux 4 update 2 . Could u please guide me with the same .

The following link is to the top level of the HP Software.
You can select your OS and then all of the items become available.

If you have the VCRM installed then you can just pull down the PSP.
I have the VCRM configured to point to a top level directory and I store the PSPs in separate directories below that, with a separate directory for non-PSP files such as firmware.
