      <description>Hi All &lt;BR /&gt;i have a issue we have created a swap partition on /dev/cciss/c0d0p2 of 4 GB and pv has been created on remaining space ie 65Gb and the sizes are as follows &lt;BR /&gt;/dev/cciss/c0d0p1 / 1Gb&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/cciss/c0d0p2 swap 4 GB&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;pv 65 GB&lt;BR /&gt;vg 65 Gb &lt;BR /&gt;lvs&lt;BR /&gt;lvol1 /usr 10 GB&lt;BR /&gt;lvol2 /var 10Gb&lt;BR /&gt;lvol3 /home 1 Gb&lt;BR /&gt;lvol4 /opt 10GB&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now the thing is i have create  a swap space of 10 Gb not 4 Gb ,, the requirement is it should be on a normal partition not lvm .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Karthik</description>

      <description>Hi Karthik&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Create the swap-partition on another disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Otherwise you have to destroy your c0d0p3 partition to resize it ( c0d0p2 as well )&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;rgds&lt;BR /&gt;HGH&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steven:&lt;BR /&gt;due to the requirement ( some "standard managed server"-definition ) &lt;BR /&gt;Karthik has to have this swap on a "fdisk-partition" not a LV-partition aka lvol.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;dont forget mkswap(8)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;rgds&lt;BR /&gt;HGH&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
