      <description>Hi &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;    I have workstation in Windows XP its LAN network its ping the all machine in workgrioup but i cannot ping that machine from machine in workgroup&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;On at the command prompt, run:&lt;BR /&gt;ipconfig /all&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;verify the ip addresses of each other machine that you want to ping.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There are some rules that you should obey for ping operations to run properly.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;First, the ip address should be either on the same network or should be routable by the default gateway...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;please check&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kind regards&lt;BR /&gt;yogeeraj</description>

      <description>You're sure of that machines IP config??  Sounds to me like a reverse route/DNS issue.  Have you validated that the DNS entry for that server is correct (ALL records)?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This does not sound like it belongs in the Linux forum....</description>
