installing RH on device other then /dev/sda

on RHEL 4 U 4 , kernel 2.6,
when using EMC symmetrix device for boot device (using boot from san)
do you know if there's a problem installing OS core on device that will be named other then /dev/sda ?
have you ever saw this kind of installation ?

Red Hat does not recommends boot from SAN.

i too say the same - RH does not support SAN booting.

By the way what is the error?
