No. Itanium servers runs only 64 Bit versions of the operating system.

You can install only 64 bit versions: Linux RHEL4U3 (AS and ES) and SUSE SLES 9 SP3

More specifically, IA64 versions of the OS, not x86-64 and not x86-32 aka IA32 aka x86.

You can only install the ia64 version of SLES 10 on an rx2620. But that 64-bit OS can run i386 executables using the ia32el package that is part of the ia64 SLES 10 release. It is not the fastest way to run an executable. It is provided for situations when a native compiled version of a program is not available.
