One thing I know about the Serviceguard for Linux Cluster - it doesn't support all HP servers, so I'm given to understand that it doesn't work on all Intel/AMD servers (only on select ones). If it doesn't work all HP servers, then chances of it working on others like DELL, IBM or SUN are even more limited.

Not sure if anybody else has been able to get it to work on servers other than the following:
BL20P, DL580 G2, BL40P, ML350 G3, DL360 G3, ML370 G3, DL380 G2, DL560, DL380 G3, DL740, DL560, DL760 G2, HP Integrity rx2600 (64 Bit), HP Integrity rx5670 (64 Bit).

Oh I found the link with information about the supported servers:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c00346780&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

Rui,

Yes it can. We recently added some new IBM servers to our list of supported servers. Check the certification matrix. The link to the matrix is on the page http://www.hp.com/info/sglx

If you need support of other servers have your sales rep contact the lab.

In regards to the other comments, there are certain HP servers that were not supported because of testing restrictions, not because SGLX would not necessarily run on those servers.

Shalom,

HP maintains a list of servers fully supported with Serviceguard. You should to maintain support from HP use only these systems.

I did not see any Sun Intel servers on the list last I checked.

I've seen good results with Dell Poweredge 1950 servers.

Regards,

SEP
