Hi all,

I can not install RH OS, Here is the problem. I downloaded the latest HP SmartStart CD v 7.91 for HP ProLiant BL35p Server series, When booting from the CD, "Linux" is not available as an install type, only "Windows" or "Novell". What am I missing? any thought?

Dary

Hi Dary,

You would need to do a Manual Install using the RHEL installation media. You are not missing anything, the Smartstart discs do not provide a method for "assisted install" of Linux operating systems.

The support Linux OS are RHEL & SLES, and you can find the exact versions that WILL work with this server.

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/linux/dl380g5-drivers-cert.html

Good Luck!
