    <description>Fujistu SEIMENS RXI 300 is not certified with SLES 10 yet, but it is certified with SLES 9 SP 3.&lt;BR /&gt;I have to install the SLES 10 SP1 on RXI 300(Itanium processor). &lt;BR /&gt;AND&lt;BR /&gt;I Never have installed Linux on Itanium.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Read two docs to gather information about installation on Itanium Servers&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-5302/5991-5302.pdf" target="_blank"&gt;http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-5302/5991-5302.pdf&lt;/A&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;and&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/RHEL-3-Manual/pdf/rhel-ig-x8664-multi-en.pdf" target="_blank"&gt;www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/RHEL-3-Manual/pdf/rhel-ig-x8664-multi-en.pdf&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Confusion&lt;BR /&gt;------------------&lt;BR /&gt;redhat guide instructs a FAT16 partition with the mount point of /boot/efi. while the hp guide to install sles 9 on itanium doesnt instruct to create a /boot/efi partition.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what to do ? I mean creating a /boot/efi is a redhat specific thing ? or is this a installation requirement of LINUX on Itanium ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Need help disparately &lt;BR /&gt;Regards</description>
