Do you use hp-OpenIPMI-7.9.0-110.sles10.i386.rpm?

I was able to install the following in OpenSUSE10.2(X86_64) .
hp-OpenIPMI-7.9.0-110.rhel5.i386.rpm(for RedhatEL5)

However, whether it is a way where this is correct is not understood.
Though it is an event that occurs by DL360G5
Occasionally, "ASR Detected by System ROM" is generated. There might be some problems.

Is someone done by being of knowing the correct method?

Hi,

due to known problems with standard OpenIPMI, I tried to compile the newest hp-OpenIPMI kernel modules for my ML350 G5 running OpenSuSE 10.2 x86_64 (kernel 2.6.18.8-07).

When running make modules, I got the following compiler errors:

drivers/char/ipmi/ipmi_msghandler.c: In function ‘ipmi_init_msghandler’:
drivers/char/ipmi/ipmi_msghandler.c:3356: error: implicit declaration of function ‘notifier_chain_register’
drivers/char/ipmi/ipmi_msghandler.c: In function ‘cleanup_ipmi’:
drivers/char/ipmi/ipmi_msghandler.c:3376: error: implicit declaration of function ‘notifier_chain_unregister

Any solutions or workarounds?

Thx in advance, regards Manfred
