Shalom,

Check /var/log/messages

In general, the source of this problem is the printer. More memory might help.

SEP

I have 2 questions regarding CUPS.
We have a HP-UX IA64 system (Itanium) running HP-UX 11.23
On this system we have CUPS for printing from Oracle Reports or RAW printing.
- 1 printer is very slow in printing 200 jobs (It takes about 1 hour).
- It seems that CUPS is limited till 500 concurrent jobs at a time.

Is there a workaround to have unlimited concurrent jobs and how can I speed up this printer?

What I have discovered in the page_log is that every 5 seconds a job is processed.

The printer is defined as a RAW printer

HPSPARE03 dcprod 97677 [05/Jun/2008:07:23:40 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97678 [05/Jun/2008:07:23:45 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97679 [05/Jun/2008:07:23:50 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97680 [05/Jun/2008:07:23:55 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97681 [05/Jun/2008:07:24:00 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97682 [05/Jun/2008:07:24:05 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97683 [05/Jun/2008:07:24:10 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97684 [05/Jun/2008:07:24:15 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97685 [05/Jun/2008:07:24:20 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97686 [05/Jun/2008:07:24:25 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97687 [05/Jun/2008:07:24:30 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97688 [05/Jun/2008:07:24:35 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
HPSPARE03 dcprod 97689 [05/Jun/2008:07:24:40 -0100] 1 1 - localhost
