    <description>My server informastion as below&lt;BR /&gt;DL380 G4&lt;BR /&gt;Redhat4 kernel-smp-2.6.9-5.EL&lt;BR /&gt;HBA qlogic&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I want to upgrade kenel from kernel-smp-2.6.9-5.EL to  2.6.9-34.ELhugemem on Redhat4. After upgrade kernel, The server cannot boot to new kernel. It show message follow attached picture. I also upgrade firmware by using firmware mantainace 8.1 cd before upgrade new kernel and upgrade PSP7.91 after upgrade new kernel. The server still cannot boot again. The current status, we switch back to boot to  original kernel (kernel-smp-2.6.9-5.EL). It can boot smoothly.Please, help to suggest me.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks so much.</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Looks like you tried a kernel only upgrade and the rest of the OS won't work with this kernel.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may wish to yum or up2date this system, or try a different kernel version.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>is your VolGroup00 devices from SAN? or inernal disks?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As the error says no LVs got active with the VG.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Go to rescue mode using the RHEL installation CD with the boot option:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;linux rescue&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if vg00 not getting mounted automaically.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2.Try to activate the volume groups by running the commands below:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvmdiskscan&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -ay&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3. try mounting all the LVs.</description>
