    <description>In one of linux machine cron is not workig. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. I have checked crond status&lt;BR /&gt;2. restarted cron &lt;BR /&gt;3. created cron.allow &lt;BR /&gt;4. created one empty cron.deny &lt;BR /&gt;5. created cron entries for root &amp;amp; not root users&lt;BR /&gt;6. deleted  crontabs  all users. &amp;amp; put only one entry in root crontab.&lt;BR /&gt;7. chceked cronlog &amp;amp; syslog.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Still the cron is not working properly. &lt;BR /&gt;in message i can see " Nov  3 15:44:01 CollPrAppSr1 crond[4282]: Authentication token is no longer valid; new one required. " &lt;BR /&gt;Any Idea ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;OS:- Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 7)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Prasanth</description>

      <description>Wrong forum to submit your question.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You are submitting your cronjob as a root and root's password has expired ,so crond is not able to authenticate root.&lt;BR /&gt;If you want to run your cronjob,either change/disable password expiration for root or submit your cronjob through someother user whose password will never expire.</description>
