      <description>there is no real limitation indeed, linux has been known to run on a 1000cpu machine for example, but some distro's set a limit when they compile the kernel package. redhat used to have one that was limited to 2 or 4 cpu's.&lt;BR /&gt;if i'm not mistaken, a limit can be set when configuring kernel source before compile.</description>
