      <title>How to view the allocated lun in linux</title>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; I am using Suse 9 Enterprise linux. qlogic card is connected.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  Now a LUN has been assigned to the this server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  I used following command to view the new lun.&lt;BR /&gt;But i am not able to see the new LUN.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Ex:&lt;BR /&gt;  1) fdisk -l&lt;BR /&gt;  2) lsscsi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; What is the command is used to view the newly allocated LUN with out restarting the linux server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  or can we see the newly allocated LUN defenitely after rebooting the linux server?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>No, the command is part of the fibreutils package provided by HP with the Proliant Support Pack. You can download the package from the HP site.</description>

      <description>MUST - Install the latest PSP -MUST.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Your commands then of interest for SAN disks are:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hp_rescan - covered above&lt;BR /&gt;lssd [ -l ] (or is it -v ?)&lt;BR /&gt;lssg [ -l ]  (same.. -v)&lt;BR /&gt;maybe you should use #yast2 for LSM/ext3 config.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;other:&lt;BR /&gt; lsscsi - creates dev files (rescan does this too)&lt;BR /&gt; blkid - shows disk UUIDs &lt;BR /&gt;</description>
