topic Ubuntu ACPI problems with HP Pavilion t3740.de (AMD 64) in Operating System - Linux

Using Ubuntu 9.04, ACPI doesn't work properly on my t3740.de (Mainboard is a Nodusm; see http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00714578&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=&product=3228402.) Basic symptom is that system doesn´t go into suspend/hybernate properly i.e. screen goes black, but power supply fan and hard disk keep running and there is no wakeup/resume. In order to restart I need to force shutdown and restart manually. Complete software shutdown works though.

Strangely everything works just fine under Vista.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks
