Hi,

I am new to amanda Backup on Linux. I just instlled it on RHEL 5.0 and I need to configure it to use HP Storage Works LTO-3 to backup all our Linux/Oracle servers and I am limited on time.

I did follow Amanda 15-min and I am geeting errors in th email after I run test amdump:

This is what I am getting in th email:

*** A TAPE ERROR OCCURRED: [Could not find a tape to use].
There are 90932K of dumps left in the holding disk.
Run amflush to flush them to tape.

The next tape Amanda expects to use is: 1 new tape.
The next new tape already labelled is: Backup-012.

FAILURE DUMP SUMMARY:
bandev.curry.edu /usr/sct lev 0 FAILED [Can't switch to degraded mode when using a new disk]
bandev.curry.edu /usr/share lev 0 FAILED [Can't switch to degraded mode when using a new disk]
