Shalom,

PSP is a hardware support package for physical servers.

ESX works on windows if I am not mistaken.

So try a windows version.

You can not install PSP into the guest OS.

SEP

Hi,

steven is correct, the PSP will not install correctly as it will not recognise the 'devices' that ESX presents via the hypervisor, so things like cmanic will have no corresponding hardware device to address.

If you want to install SIM for SNMP trapping, you could configure ucd-snmp or something similar to send events to an external trapsink. It depends on why/how you intend using HP SIM.

HTH

regards

Matt
hi guys,

thanks for those answers.

Not sure how familier you are with VMware ESX OS with sits on a physical proliant server. Basically its a custom linux OS that is the host OS for the VMware infrastructure.

I just want to know the install proceedure for psp on this kind of OS. Image its the same as Linux,

thanks
