Can I Add one 1GB speed LAN card to ProLiant DL580 server

My server is running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon Update 9)

Now server has two ethernet card with 100Mp/s cards. Can I add one more card with 1000Mb/s card.Do the server support this ?

Hi,

you should check support matrix of all LAN cards supported by the OS version.

My question is can i add 1000Mb/s additional lan card on ProLiant DL580 server. Already have two 100mbps ethernet cards

Hi

You can add another ethernet card; all HP DL servers have mnore than 2 PIC slots so you should be fine.
