One of my clients has requested me to install SNMP_session 1.08 and Perl 5.8.8.

I am unable to find these two any where. I tried perl.org for 5.8.8 and never found it in the archives. Can anyone please let me know where I could find the RPMs for these two items? Any input would be most appreciated.

I think the site hosting the rpm version bit the dust:

http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/5744039/com/perl-SNMP_Session-1.11-1.noarch.rpm.html

here is the tarball for what you are looking for I suppose

http://code.google.com/p/snmp-session/downloads/list

and here is a short discussion on how to "install" the tarball

http://www.hswn.dk/hobbiton/2007/06/msg00322.html

Also, it might be beneficial for you to check this page:

http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=perl-SNMP_Session

HTH

Mel,

I forgot to mention that the Version of Linux is RHEL 3 Update 2 on this server. The last link is related to Fedora.

Thanks for the inputs, though. They are very helpful.

Regards,
-Kennedy

Since fedora is the community development version of RH, the rpm packages are compatible in between the two. For RHEL 3, well, sorry about that but I am not sure how compatible the current packages with ancient (in computer aging terms that is) OS release. Good luck.
