      <description>It looks like you might have hit new message instead of reply.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You also seem slightly annoyed about something, probably in some other thread.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm going to play soothsayer and try and figure out the question without the question.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can use Samba on Red Hat 8.0 to share filesystems or part of filesystems with Windows 98 clients.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can also share printers using samba.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can not share other peripherals like modems on the Red Hat Server like that.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Here is a link to download the latest and greatest version of samba for Red Hat Linux.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.redhat.com/swr/i386/samba-2.2.5-10.i386.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.redhat.com/swr/i386/samba-2.2.5-10.i386.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Tips on samba server setup.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.redhat.com/support/resources/tips/Samba-Tips/Samba-Tips-3.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.redhat.com/support/resources/tips/Samba-Tips/Samba-Tips-3.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I hope this helps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I know you don't need to do anything to Windows XP clients to connect to Samba shared mountpoints on your Linux Server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I've never shared a printer so I don't know what's involved with that.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Be well.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
